I am writing this in English so that Jerzy can read it - I regret that we can only afford to present our MV in VCD format on this AVCD. DVD would certainly do the footage more justice. Unfortunately, from day one we have not had just a low budget, but as I have lived through many times in my life working in a non-commercial environment, a situation very close to NO budget for the production of this MV. Making the decision to rent a blue screen was almost like committing suicide. I am absolutely grateful that I had the honour of Jerzy's unconditional involvement from the day i decided to do this project. We were lucky enough to have had Henry's crew. We shot on DV. We would have preferred Betacam, or better still, 35 mm. We ordered an electricity generator for extra lighting for the shooting but it could not make its way into the recording studio. There was no real spider for tracking effect. The poor spiderman had to push an office swivel chair around with a camerman on it to make believe that it was spider. Only a few artists came with makeup on. We were shooting in between vocal takes. Almost all artists were in a rush to be somewhere else. Most solo shots were done independently, then merged together with blue screen effect. 小齊's "moon" shot was realized in my humble home studio one evening before the main shooting without a blue screen & without our main crew. Joyce Li and 方力申's shots were realized in a different recording studio a few days after the main event, again without blue screen and proper crew support. While 30 seconds of any low-budget, yet professional looking film/video would take at least 10 days for a full team of people and a few computers with expensive software to realize, Jerzy came up with 3'34"of ingenious creation on one computer in a mere 3 weeks. It has been a work of love and self sacrifice. Alone he did all this - round the clock of course. I sobbed while watching the final cut 20 hours after we left the post-production studio, with tears of joy. Jerzy - I am so proud of you!!!!! m-y P.S. Of course we would be happier if we had had one more month to work on the editing and special effects, and then come up with a DVD version.
